Apple is reportedly testing a redesigned iPhone with a larger display as well as a new iPad model with a 13-inch screen, according to a new report. The Wall Street Journal on Monday cited multiple anonymous officials at Apple?s supply chain partners in reporting that Apple has requested ?prototype smartphone screens larger than 4 inches? in recent months as it tests new display sizes for future iPhone models. Earlier rumors suggested Apple may be prepping a redesigned iPhone 6 with a larger edge-to-edge display. The report also claims Apple has ?asked for screen designs for a new tablet device measuring slightly less than 13 inches diagonally,? mirroring earlier rumors that Apple is testing a new 12.9-inch iPad. WSJ notes that the new designs being tested may never be released.
